Breakfast Buckwheat Bowl | Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Healthy

1 cup buckwheat groats
2 1/4 cups filtered water
pinch of sea salt
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
unsweetened almond milk
fruit toppings of choice
chia seeds
unsweetened coconut flakes



1. Bring the buckwheat, water, and salt to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Lower heat and let it cook for 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for another 5 minutes.
2. Mix in the maple syrup and cinnamon. Place the mixture into a bowl and top it off with almond milk, fruit, chia seeds, and coconut flakes.
