What’s better than the already glorious, already delicious regular s’more? A s’more in a freakin’ sugar cone, of course!
Let’s be real here. This treat is perfect anytime of the year — but personally, I especially love making (and eating!) these during the fall. I mean, don’t bonfires feel absolutely magical in the cool, crisp air of autumn? And what better way to enjoy these moments than with a warm, gooey chocolaty s’more upgrade.
The best part about making these is that you can totally remix and customize them to be the way you want them to be. Don’t like peanut butter? Replace it with some chocolate hazelnut spread. Want a healthier alternative? Use gluten-free cones and add in some fruit! There’s no limit to how many fun, creative ways you can make these bad boys.
Begin by picking your fillings and toppings.
– Chocolate chips
– Peanut butter chips
– Mini peanut butter cups
– Peanut butter
– Brownie pieces
– Cookie butter/chocolate spread
– Maraschino cherries
– Banana slices
– Coconut whipped cream + strawberries
– Mini Oreos
– Chocolate puffed cereal
– Graham crackers
– Gummy bears
– Sour gummy worms
– Jelly beans
For these guys, I went with Dandies marshmallows, dark chocolate chips, all natural peanut butter, and Cleo’s white chocolate peanut butter cups.
Layer your fillings into the cones.
Wrap them in heavy duty foil and begin melting them.
If you’re in the great outdoors and you have access to a campfire, toss them in the campfire coals for 5 minutes.
If you want to enjoy these in the comfort of your own home — Simply bake them in the oven for 7 minutes at 350°F. Just as good!
Let then cool off for a bit and unravel them from the foil. Proceed to add your toppings of choice.
I used mini Oreos because… well, you just can’t go wrong with Oreos. DELISH!
