I’m all for for a little luxury every now and then, but only if the products are truly worthy of a hefty price tag. Because if we’re being honest here, just because something is super expensive or brand name doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s good quality. In fact, sometimes drugstore beauty products end up being far more superior in comparison to their luxe counterparts.
So, I thought I would share 5 of my favourite, must-have luxury beauty products that I believe are worth every penny.

This is by far one of my favourite primers ever (not just in the luxe category). It imparts a super natural, lit-from-within glow that’s sophisticated and very filter-like. I like to focus the primer mainly onto the high points of my face first, then blend out the remaining product everywhere else. If you love a hydrated, luminous, glass-like look to your skin — This will be your new bff.
The cost of this palette gives me heart palpitations too — don’t worry, I know. And it pains me to say that I love it so much, but my goodness, this palette is perfect. The colours in this eyeshadow palette are so pigmented and creamy and there are so many different looks you can create with them. You can do a smokey eye, an everyday neutral eye, a colourful eye — There are just a multitude of ways you can express yourself with this palette. It’s a must for me!
When I first kept hearing about this foundation, I thought it was all hype because of the brand name, but *gulp*, it’s definitely not. The name of it is very fitting to what it looks like and what it feels like on the skin — Luminous and silky. The formula is very lightweight yet buildable, so whether I need more or less coverage that day, this foundation always looks good no matter what.
I love these nail polishes because of how unique and refined the shades are (even the brighter ones). For example, “African Violet” is a gorgeous magenta with a purple undertone, however Tom Ford has still somehow managed to make this colour look chic, elegant, and wearable. These typically last up to a week on me without chipping (yep, dishes and all) and always leave a gorgeous, glass-like finish on my nails. I would like to note that long, thin brushes (such as the ones that come with this nail polish) do tend to be the most difficult to maneuver, so if you’re someone who struggles with them or you just simply don’t like working with these types of brushes, these may not be for you. Otherwise, these are my faves!
The world’s best lipsticks? Yep, these are it. The overall experience of this whole product is swoon-worthy. The packaging is absolutely stunning and they resemble a small piece of art you’ll probably want to hold onto for the rest of your life. Even just looking at the lipstick itself without applying it yet, you can see how velvet-y the texture is. These are incredibly pigmented and incredibly full coverage all in one swipe. The shade “Full Panic” is my favourite.
